FTA FAMILY!

We hope you are all staying safe and healthy during these crazy times. It has been extremely challenging for us, both individually and as a group, to keep our spirits up when even rehearsing in person has been untenable. Through Zoom calls and Facetime, we have been doing our best to play, write, and share ideas as we wait for conditions to improve.

The silver lining in this situation is that we have finished mixing and mastering our new five-song EP, “Remnants,” for a late spring/early summer 2021 release via Dr. Music Records! The first single, “Remnants,” will be out in May, accompanied by a vibrant lyric video by Wayne Joyner who’s done great clips for Dream Theater, Sevendust, and Ayreon among others. Make sure to check FTA’s social media sites for teasers and song clips in the coming weeks. We are bursting with excitement to share our new music with you. Patience—it’s coming!

We were also thrilled to be asked to contribute a track to the Long Island Van Halen Tribute on Illogical Records. For the first time in nearly 10 months, all four of us were in the same space—Spin Studios in LIC, NYC—tracking our version of Van Halen’s “Drop Dead Legs” over a couple of days. It was a truly special, joyous time being together, playing full throttle, and recording our first cover ever. It’s even more gratifying knowing that all proceeds will be going to the Lung Cancer Research Foundation of New York in memory of one of our musical heroes, the great Edward Van Halen.
